About me

I'm Joseangel González, a Mexican photographer from Monterrey, currently based in Melbourne, Australia. I photograph gastronomy and hospitality, and I teach others to leave auto mode behind with my course Foto desde 0.

I started out in Monterrey, between kitchens and hotels, learning that a good photo doesn't come from the gear but from knowing how to read light. What began as a trade became a way of traveling: the camera has taken me from the hills of my hometown to the California coast, the waterfalls of Oregon, and now to the other side of the world, in Australia. Along the way I discovered I love teaching photography as much as shooting it — that's how my YouTube channel and Foto desde 0 were born.

Commercially, I work with restaurants and hotels that want their spaces and dishes to look the way they feel: with atmosphere, with intention, and without stock-photo poses. If you have a project in mind, let's talk.
